Office of Asia and Oceania Affairs

The Asia and Oceania Office operates under the Vice-Presidency for International Relations and Communications of the University of Religions and Denominations. Its primary mission is to expand and strengthen the University’s academic, educational, and research cooperation with countries across Asia and the Oceania region, excluding Arab countries. The Office aims to enhance the University’s international standing and to ensure an active and effective presence in global academic and cultural networks.

Acting as a key intermediary, this Office facilitates communication and collaboration between the University and academic institutions, research centers, cultural organizations, and diplomatic bodies within the region. Its core activities focus on the development of international educational partnerships, the advancement of joint research initiatives, and the promotion of sustainable transnational academic engagement.

To date, URD has concluded 36 academic and educational memorandums of understanding   with universities and research institutions throughout the region, including partners in Russia, India, Pakistan, Malaysia, South Korea, Armenia, and other Asian and Oceania countries. The University has also established formal research and academic cooperation agreements with internationally renowned institutions such as Saint Petersburg State University.

In addition, the Office has organized and coordinated academic missions, study tours, international webinars, and scholarly dialogues, as well as faculty and student exchange programs. By hosting professors, researchers, diplomats, and academic elites from Asia and the Oceania region, the Office plays a significant role in advancing the University’s academic diplomacy and cross-cultural dialogue
