Department of Arabic Language

One of the departments in the Faculty of Languages and Cultures of Nations is the Department of Arabic Language. This department currently offers two programs. Successful applicants enroll in an MA program in Arabic Language and Literature or a PhD program in Arabic Literature. Hasan Rahmani is the head of the department.

The content and the courses offered in this department are selected to be in line with the Arabic literature and language. Some of the topics covered here are “Modern Arabic Literature”, “History of Arabic literature”, “Historical development of literary criticism”, “Morphological analysis”, “Poetry and prose in different eras”, “Philology”, “Literary criticism”, and “Rhetoric”.
