According to the Public Relations Office of the university, following his meetings in Iraq, Hujat al-Islam Navab, the President of the University of Religions and Denominations, met with Dr. Nabil Kadhim Abdel-Sahib, the Iraqi Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
Expressing satisfaction with meeting Dr. Abdel-Sahib, Hujat al-Islam Navab invited the Iraqi officials of Higher Education and Scientific Research to Iran.
Iraj Masjedi, the Iranian ambassador to Iraq, and Hujat al-Islam Gholamreza Abazari, the cultural attaché of Iran to Baghdad also attended this meeting and discussed different scholarly and academic issues. They admired the Iraqi Ministry’s approach toward quality requirements and academic education standards at undergraduate and graduate levels.
Dr. Nabil Kadhim Abdel-Sahib welcomed his Iranian guests and called Iran as a friendly country with historical background and home to many renowned scholars. Pointing to the interest of Iraqi youths to study at Iranian universities, he welcomed the proposed plans for promoting cooperation and stressed holding specialized meetings between the officials of the two countries until achieving the desired results.
In this trip, Hujat al-Islam Taskhiri, the Vice President for Communications and International Affairs, and Dr. Ali Mohammadi Iraqi, the Director General of the Office of the President, accompany President Navab.
