A group of Dutch students paid a visit to the university of Religions and Denominations in order to learn more about Islam and the Muslims.

The Dutch group was given an introduction lecture by Dr. Ansaripoor, Shiite studies faculty member of URD, in which he described in brief the mission and goals behind the establishment of the university.

Dr. Ansaripoor said: “The university of Religions and Denominations initiated its mission in 1995 under the name of “The Center for Studies of Religions”.

He also added: “we hold neutral attitudes toward other religions, respect them, and try to know them well enough that indicates our attitude and behavior in our policies and trends. Now the university, along with some other international centers, covers these goals”.

The young guests of URD ended their visit with strolling in the specialized library of Religions and Denominations, being astonished by the richness of its collection, especially the Latin shelves.
