Indian ambassador visits the University of Religions and Denominations

The University of Religions and Denominations hosted Saurabh Kumar, Indian ambassador to Iran, on January 2nd.

During this visit, Indian ambassador met Hojjat-ul-Islam-val- Moslemin Dr. Seyyed Abul-Hasan Navvab, the president of the University and also his high counselor Dr. Masjid Jame’i.

Pointing to deep relations between Iran and India, Dr. Navvab described India’s great development in software and hardware as pride for independent countries.

Mentioning the advanced democracy in India, he added the Peaceful coexistence among religions and denominations in India is of great value.

Dr. Navvab also pointed to research and educational activities regarding Eastern Religions and publishing various books in this regard and expressed hopefulness to boost these activities.

The president of the University also called for continuation of the relations between Indian Embassy and the University of Religions and Denominations to increase mutual co-operations in exchanging students and professors and also holding mutual scientific workshops and conferences between this University and other similar ones in India.

Saurabh Kumar in this meeting said presence of Indian and Pakistani students in Qom seminary schools contributes to cultural proximity between two countries.
