Ismaieli professor visits the URD in 2018
Indian professor (Ismaieli professor) at California University, researcher, bibliographer, Ismaiel Qurban Hussein Pouneh Vala, visited the University of Religions and Denominations (URD) on February 20th and met Seyyed Abulhassan Navvab the president of the University.
In this meeting, Professor Pouneh Vala reported about his works in the field of Ismaili denomination and also his religious activities in the U.S.
Seyyed Abulhassan Navvab, in this meeting, explained about the scientific approach of the University regarding religions and denominations and emphasized the dialogue among religions and denominations for alleviating human pains and mentioned the books published by the University on Ismailism. Following that, Professor Pouneh Vala engaged in scientific discussion with professors at the meeting and considered the cooperation conditions on Ismailism.
It is worth mentioning that Professor Pouneh Vala is the winner of the fifth round of the international book award of the Islamic Republic of Iran and is visiting Iran for the third time. He has had two presentations at Ferdowsi University in Mashhad on “Ismaili approach in interpreting Quran” and “relationship between Ismailism and Mysticism”.
