The present thesis entitled “The Place of Women in Islamic History, the History of Al-Ya’qubi as a Model”, aims to investigate the status of women from the perspective of ancient Islamic historians, for example, the study of Al-Ya’qubi history. A feature of Al-Ya’qubi’s history is that he gave importance to cultural issues. To investigate the issue first, the areas of women’s presence were identified in the political, social, cultural, economic and military axes. After that, the history of Al-Yaqoubi was carefully studied and his reports on the presence and activities of women were included in the aforementioned axes. And according to the reports Al-Yaqoubi collected in his history of women, it seems that he was interested in the following matters in this regard: A) The devotional aspects of women (religion and sect.) b) The political and social aspects of women. c) Economic aspects of women. Then the study focused on the foundations, ideas and general theories of Al-Yaqubi in women (marriage, her leadership role, her political acumen, her analysis of events, and her religious and ideological position). The general conclusion of this review is that the views of Al-Yaqoubi in analyzing facts and events and his dependence on historical concepts and his possession of an analytical and rational approach helped to show important results in Islamic history and indicates that the historians of the first three centuries of Islam, Al-Yaqubi was one of them, who did not neglect the issue of women They discussed related developments in their history. Of course, it seems that historians, including Al-Ya’qubi, did not care about the issue of education and upbringing, which is the primary duty of women, and they made few reports in this field.
