Port architecture is represented by the General Company of Ports of Iraq. a historical. cultural and economic heritage of Iraqi society in general and visual society in particular.
The art used in this building is inspired by the Islamic character of the Dome. Ionat. Awqah. Arches. Windows and Islamic Decorations.
Since the completion of this distinctive building in 1931. which is considered the first building in this distinctive architectural form at the time in Basra city and its importance was opened by the king of Iraq personally at the time King Faisal I. even if we took a look for ninety-one years of the life of this distinctive artistic edifice. which became an important landmark of Basra city. when it was presented to the visual community in terms of religious. cultural. economic. scientific and health and more residential roles and various community groups Hospitals and health centers and sending more study missions out of Iraq to gain scientific development in various branches.
