The role of Iraqi news sites in developing security awareness A survey study on the youth of Dhi Qar governorate as a model

The study dealt with the role of news websites in developing security awareness (a survey study on the youth of Dhi Qar governorate as a model), as the research problem included the relationship between reliance on news websites for the youth of Dhi Qar governorate and how to develop their security awareness and what is the importance of relying on these websites and the extent of their effective participation in raising the security aspect In various forms, this problem was identified by the main question (the role of news websites in developing security awareness on the youth of Dhi Qar governorate) by conducting a survey study on the various youth of Dhi Qar governorate because of this important segment of the role and influence in Iraqi society and the adoption of this survey as a research methodology The study aimed to identify how young people depend on communicating with news websites and how it contributed to developing their security awareness and revealing the results associated with following up on those news websites and the limits of the possibility that urge them to actively participate in the security awareness of the governorate and compare with the rest of the news websites. Where type if it describes what exists by collecting information and data, scheduling and tabulating them, and then interpreting the data and extracting Conclusions and the researcher’s use of the survey method and the method of correlational relationships and systematic comparison between the respondents in the governorate and the adoption of electronic questionnaire and statistical programs specifically the spss program in extracting results, ratios, standard deviations, arithmetic averages, relative weights and abilities.The study reached a number of results, the most important of which is the average role played by Iraqi news websites in achieving security awareness among the youth of Dhi Qar governorate with a relative weight equal to (2.596324%), and this indicates that the sites’ contribution was not significant in the remarkable size in increasing security awareness among youth, but it It has contributed as noticeably to the mentioned amount, which gives a perception that young people follow these websites and that they play important roles that were monitored through this study This study recommended activating youth and media seminars to raise awareness in a better way than the results of a study of the need to transfer the economic, cultural, educational and other angles equal to the security or political angle.
