Citizen journalism is expanding significantly in the media scene. In addition, has become an alternative to traditional media outlets. Because this type of journalism is so close to events, it has become a comparable resource to the mainstream media. It will affect the professional performance of the reporter and will be reflected on satellite channels.
In the light of this, by conducting this research, we will try to answer the main question: “What effect does the citizen journalist have on the performance of the professional citizen journalist in the Iraqi satellite channels?”
One of the most important findings of this study is that the citizen journalist has a great impact on the performance of citizen journalists, and this is one of the reasons for the importance of the media role of citizen journalists in various forms. The results also showed that due to the importance of the content of this type of journalism due to the proximity to the scene and coverage by citizens at the time of the event, the citizen has a positive effect on the speed of completing the news report, because it provides the necessary news to information sources. Put.
This study was conducted with the aim of being aware of the impact of citizen-journalist content on the performance of citizen-journalist’s professions, as well as knowing their interest in communicating with Iraqi satellite channels on issues and events raised in the citizen-journalist section. In this descriptive-analytical study, a questionnaire was prepared and distributed among (350) cases related to Iraqi satellite channels. Through the average percent score, the effect of citizen journalistic content on professional performance (80.3%). In addition, there is a relationship between trusts in the (news) content of a citizen journalist in choosing news (0.703), there is a relationship between trust in the content (news) of a citizen journalist, and the impact of a citizen journalist on scope news in the institution is based on correlation coefficient (0.723)
