This study focuses on one of well-known poets of modern Iraqi poetry who contributed in conserving the heritage of Iraqi verse and its unique. His poetry had some good features, which distinguished him from other poets; thus, we aim to introduce this literary character and to urge the criticizers to pay needed attention to his work. The research is divided into an introduction, foreword, and four chapters. Chapter one deals with the poetry picture and the sense of the picture now and in the past, and its utilities in the verse text. The Iraqi poetry is known for its using the imagination and the familiar scenes, while the poet gives life and motion to those pictures. Chapter two speaks about the Hazim Rashak al-Tamimi and his literary and scientific biography and a summary of Arabic contemporary literature. Chapter three analyzes the diwan of Hazim Rashak al-Tamimi especially where he describes the reed to indicate the colonization; while chapter four gives the results of those diwans which contributed to show the poetry picture in its most beautiful sight and the eloquence used in each part of the verse beside showing the literary and religious heritage in most of the verses. We see that the poet almost uses the symbols to describe the modernization features.
