The research sought to study the cultural references in the poetry of the poet Mustafa Gamal al-Din and their clear impact on interaction and communication with poetic texts, especially since these texts confirm to us his personal position as a poet who has proven his presence in the literary arena through the splendor of these texts and the various cultural references they carried stemming from the creative cognitive and intellectual references It automatically reflected on his literary texts and showed us a literary text characterized by artistic creativity and distinctive style. The main focus of the research was based on the knowledge of those references as a diverse cultural referral that enters the literary discourse to form a cultural interaction and communication between the text and the cultures close to it and through which the creator’s relationship with his culture and the culture of the community he belongs to and other cultures that he derived through his creative journey appear. And because cultural references are among the topics that have not been shed light on much in academic studies. The research tried to identify those various references, whether religious or heritage, and analyze them according to the analytical approach based on analyzing poetic texts and the way the poet employs these references. The research reached several results: including the clear impact of references on the structure of the text, starting with the definition of general concepts and their role in building the poetic self, in addition to the effectiveness of religious references and their personal and textual presence to heritage references and their great impact and the role of environmental words in the fabric of his poetic texts. Being a fertile poet, his poetic texts allow us the pleasure of researching and penetrating this subject and analyzing its contents through reviewing and researching the poet’s biography and his poetic output represented in the book (Al Diwan), which was published in 1995 AD، where he arranged it in a timely arrangement that fits his artistic life with three poetic collections (Your Eyes and the Old Melody, the Melodies of Exile poems I lived).
