The main question of this research is to study the position of literary art in Ibn Arabi’s system of thought. In this research, the problem has been addressed in a descriptive-analytical way and the information of this research has been collected through library studies. It is impossible to understand Ibn Arabi’s theories about art in general and the art of literature in particular without understanding his understanding of the subject of imagination. . In the present study, while trying to methodize the importance and function of imagination, Ibn Arabi’s ontological view of art is also briefly mentioned. Ibn Arabi’s view on the status of literature can be discussed from three different angles. At first glance; Literature is considered as a means of transmitting mystical findings, and from this perspective Ibn Arabi believes that literary language is useful in attracting and persuading audiences. He took a picture. Ibn Arabi himself, whenever he wants, expresses his intention very clearly and fluently, and interprets these clear statements in his place and, if necessary, with full skill, and uses literary language to cover his secrets. In the second view; Literature should be considered as the language of mysticism, from this perspective, literature and the use of complex literary allegories is in fact the language of mysticism. But in the third view of the status of the art of literature from the perspective of Ibn Arabi, while paying attention to his anthropological principles in the field of historical existence of man and the science of historical names, literature should be considered the most complete and complete art that is among the highest types of art and contemporary man. In the apocalyptic period and after the time of the Prophet Khatam (PBUH), he had to engage in artistic creativity in this field, and for this reason, artistic creativity in other fields is limited in Khatam Sharia.
