From the beginnig until now Muslim scientists and historians (Shia or Sunni) have been introducing and explaining Sira (procedure) of Ahl Albayt.Each of authors has accomplished such a work with regard to his special culture, denomination, and demeanor.This thesis is about goals and motives of writing of Ahl Albayt’s history including lady Fatima Al Zahra and twelve Imams with emphasis on introductions and prefaces of writings about Ahl Albayt.So, at first the process of writing of these kinds of books which are about their lives and personalities is mentioned and we have pointed out the goals and motives of writing on this subject. So we have found four goals and motives which are as follows: 1.emotional motives 2.religious motives 3.political motives 4.training motives.In this research we come to this conclusion that books which are written because of training goals reach to thirty seven titlesand they have more impact on writing of these kinds of books.Emotional motive is the second in ranking with twenty five titles and religious motive stands in the third ranking with twenty titles and political motive is the fifth with eleven titles of books.It should be mentioned that in this research we have been finding the motives of writings out of one hundred and forty two books which forty two books were discarded.
