This thesis under the title of “approximation in Shia in the last century” investigated Shia scholars’ various approximation approaches practically and comprehensively and presented the most practical approach. In researcher’s opinion, verbal considerations are not enough and some practical actions must be done. This study tried to describe that followers of all religions despite differences in their religious attitudes can achieve an approximation by considering the approximation approach that is one of the common and fundamental principles of Islam. In the last century, many attempts have taken by both Sunni and Shia Islamic scholars to achieve this approximation and each of them has provided some approaches and live streamings. The data collection procedures were as follow: Some of the data were collected through library method from valid and authorized Shia and Sunni sources; some other data were collected through in-person interviews with leading experts in the field. The findings of the present study indicated that the best model of approximation approach is the model that consider practical considerations; the model that Imam Musa Sadr has practiced it in the greatest way.
