Social Media Platforms and Their Influence in Promoting the Priorities of Political Reformations for Public A Descriptive Study- Wasit City

Social media platforms play a significant role in the progression of political reformations in societies of Iraq generally and specifically in the society of Wasit city, these platforms provide an effective mean of cumulative behavioral changes for the political reformations in the city of Wasit, this represented the major motivation for conducting this research and entitling it as ““Social Media Platforms and Their Influence in Promoting the Priorities of Political Reformations for Public”. The study targeted the Wasit city society as a representative sample due to the fact that Wasit society individuals have a critical political insights of the contemporary political and social circumstances along with their ability to critically observe, identify and analyze the ultimate exploitations of  social media platforms, the study aimed at investigating and identifying the reality and characteristics of attained cultural attitudes of the public and the mean of knowledge based analysis of social media orientation, the also aimed at measuring the level of influence of social media platforms towards identifying the priorities of political reformations from a public perspective in city of Wasit, the study utilized a descriptive research methodology since it is the most convenient research methodology for field-based media research performed on a population represented by a 300 participants sample size, the study came to a number of conclusions out of which the most prominent one is that social media platforms significantly and extremely influence and motivate the participation in and interaction with peaceful demonstrations and protestations which aims to achieve political reformations in Iraq, another significant conclusion was that social media platforms are capable of news dissemination of information and news aiding in establishing a concrete political and social awareness for the public individuals at the city of Wasit.
