Imam Sadegh (as) encounter with the idea of simile and embodiment

Deviant thoughts can be countered in a variety of ways. Reincarnation and likening are among the deviant thoughts whose history dates back to emergence of Islam. Being entrusted with a scientific mission, Imam Sadegh (PBUH), also ended up having to confront groups with deviant ideologies using a variety of intellectual movements. Deviant ideology confrontation methodology constitutes the main theme of the present article. This theme raises questions regarding the way Imam Sadegh (as) has applied the Reincarnation and likening ideologies to counter deviant thoughts. A great deal of importance should be attached to this question because the answer to this question can give us aninsight into Imam’s confrontational measurers as and used them as a model to counter such thoughts and ideologies in the contemporary era. This is particyulary important because today such deviant ideologies are being promoted and disseminated by salafi movements. Therefore, in the present study attempts are made to use the analytical study of Imam Sadegh (as) lifestyle in order to find the answer to the above-mentioned question. The results showed that scientist education and training is the main confrontational approach used by imam to deal with such deviant views. In fact by educating and training students and helping they develop their scientific and argumentation capabilities, Imam tried to counter the deviant groups. Such an attitude could, in turn, enhancer the society’s understanding of Imam’s monotheism, which is itself an obstacle to the development of the reincarnation and likening ideologies. In addition, in cases where it was impossible for imam to use scientific arguments for enlightening purposes, Hazrat recommended common people to refuse from dealing with this group of thoughts, and such a measure has successfully helped the Shiite community to be less significantly affected by Reincarnation and likening ideologies.
