The position of the paper press among other media among the audience of DhiQar in the light of the new media، research to obtain a master’s degree in media، the University of Religions and Sects، the researcher addressed in this research to the topic، paper journalism and the size of its standing in other media، in order to know the reality of that journalism in light of Accelerated technological progress in communication and information technology. As the researcher sought to reveal the size of that press، the researcher used the descriptive survey method through a questionnaire in order to collect data and information. Through the questions of the questionnaire، and the audience of DhiQar Governorate was relied on as a sample to answer the main question of the study، which is what is the position of paper newspapers among the means The new media from the point of view of the audience of DhiQar and the sub-questions related to the research، which were two questions limited to knowing the level of interest of the DhiQar audience in the paper press and new media، as well as knowing what is the means that attracts the most number of the audience. The researcher reached the most important results and through answering 404 of the respondents said that the status of the new media is higher than that of the paper newspapers among the audience of DhiQar، as well as social networks and websites have attracted the largest number of audience and the public’s interest in new media is more than their interest in the paper press. Where the first chapter dealt with the methodological framework of the research، the second chapter dealt with the theoretical framework، the third chapter the research methodology، the fourth chapter the practical framework and the fifth chapter the results and recommendations.
