The research contained an introduction and four chapters in addition to sources and references: The introduction included the methodological framework of the research: The research problem: determined by the following question: Do theatrical costumes have a prominent aesthetic through the plays of theatrical director Awni Karumi?, The importance of the research: limited to, this research shows the meaning Religious, cultural and social relations that are related to the civilization of Mesopotamia, the research constitutes a great benefit for graduate students and the competent authorities. The aim of the research: to reveal the aesthetics of theatrical costumes in the Iraqi theater through the plays of the Iraqi theater director Awni Karumi Research limits: thematic limits _ theatrical costumes in plays Awni Karumi temporal boundaries – the period from 1980-2000 AD. Spatial boundaries – Iraq – Europe. The first chapter contained three sections: definition of keywords, research variables, and search terms. The second chapter contained the theoretical framework in three sections in addition to previous studies. The first topic: Introduction to theatrical costumes in International Theatrical Literature, Elements of Aesthetics of Theatrical Costumes in Awni Karumi’s Plays The second topic: Theatrical costumes in the Iraqi play (historical reference) The third topic: The role of theatrical costumes in perceptual processes in Iraqi theaters, and the third chapter contains the research procedures – the research community: plays directed by the Iraqi playwright Awni Karumi, with the reality of (8) plays. Research, which constitutes (40%).- Research method: The researcher adopted the descriptive method by (analysis). Sample analysis: The researcher adopted the analysis mechanism as follows: Description of the sample (theatrical) analysis of the play aesthetically according to the costumes in which it was used. The fourth chapter contained the following: The results of the research, including: the costumes in the plays Awni Karumi reflected the nature of the characters according to the psychological impact of each character, whether tragic or comedic, as they illustrate the impact of tragedy, anxiety and exoticism in an elaborate design for each of the cases. Conclusions, including: The costumes of Awni Karume’s plays contributed to the interpretation of the event in the thought of the potential and the recipient alike through the aesthetic presentation of the costumes.
