Analytical philosophy is onee off thee mostt importantt toools for interpreting works of- art, and it has a deep foundation rooted in language, and based on its analysis that removes ambiguity in literary and artistic works. Since Iraqi theater has deep historical roots, it has been influenced by philosophical theories that have attracted the attention of playwrights and directors, such as the theory of cruelty that it has promoted. French critic and playwright (Antoine Artaud), and the importance of this study lies in the fact that it deals with one of the most important tools for understanding artistic texts, based on the use of analytical philosophy based on language as a tool to explain dramatic situations and characters, and remove the ambiguity that marred them, in the arts of global theater, and the study aims to analyze Iraqi theatrical texts to see the extent to which they are affected by the theories of cruelty and realism and to show the predominance of one of them on the Iraqi theater and the definition of analytical philosophy and the theory of cruelty by Antoine Arto and the Russian director Stanislavsky and his theory The study also relies on a consensual approach coupled with a historical approach based on the impact of Iraqi theater on two harsh theories of Antoinartu and the realistic theory, and relying on analytical and critical methods that contribute to clarifying the aesthetic and intellectual reflections on the Iraqi theater. He presented the role of criticism in the development of the creative process and the evaluation of theatrical texts, while the study assumes the existence of a stand-alone art that has characteristics and features that distinguish it from the rest of the arts and is considered the origin of the arts, which is the theatrical art in Iraq, and the study assumes the existence of realistic features in the Iraqi theater embodied in the writing of theatrical texts as a model for analysis and criticism, and that the study assumes the existence of guidelines for writing directing theatrical texts, performance and actors in the transfer of the play as well as the importance and role of criticism in evaluating artistic works.
