In the current era، the new media is among the effective and important tools in achieving good governance. It can greatly contribute to the development and improvement of ways to manage and manage the affairs of the state and society and modernize them، starting with enshrinement of transparency in government performance، by exploiting the new digital channels provided by this technology. In exchanging information quickly and effectively، leading to the fight against corruption، which has become the “real terrorism” that is eroding the body of the state and society،

The political decision-making process is considered one of the most important political actions taken by the political system in any country، and these decisions represent the outcomes on which the governance process is built. That the process of making it is based on accurate information and effective communication، and that all the activities of society are involved in its making، and all of this is achieved more if the new media is relied on in this، and from here appears the role that this modern technology can play in rationalizing political decisions and achieving Quality in judgment، and this is the main focus of this study.

The importance of this research lies in the fact that it is one of the contemporary scientific research that focuses on the role of the new media in helping political decision-makers to rationalize their political behavior، particularly the decision-making process، with the aim of the aspirations of the Iraqi people. Political sciences، legal sciences، information science and media and communication sciences، by explaining the relationship of management and politicians with informatics and communications، researchers use descriptive analytical methods (objective analysis) to collect opinions، information، facts and concepts related to the research axis.

In this study، the researcher used special theories for the study، and the theories are; Social responsibility theory، cultural implantation theory، and media dependence theory.

The researcher concluded that members of the Iraqi parliament use new media such as e-mail and social networking sites such as Facebook، Twitter، WhatsApp، YouTube، and others in making their political decisions to achieve the aspirations of the people، as the means of communication and technology and this can take this dimension، especially since public opinion occupied an advanced position after coercion And suppressed by the existing dictatorship، Iraqi parliamentarians also rely heavily on new media، especially new media. The Internet، due to their prominence in society، enables them to have easy and convenient digital access and provides them with the necessary connections and saturation of information when making decisions.
