One of the most important topics of Christian theology is the study of the meaningof Jesus Christ that for many years much debate has taken place on this fundamental concept. From the first centuries, Christian theologians have tried to explain person , work of Jesus Christ  and the nature that have facedwith many challenges such as scientific and rational criticism and history.  Meanwhile, Karl Barth and Wolfhart Pannenberg that leaves the defense of basic Christian doctrines, have provided new and innovative analyzes. each in the specific context of theology)i.e. Historical theology and the New Orthodoxy theology,) each having their own method,investigating on this issue.Karl Barth, with renewing the traditional concepts in new framework and Pannenberg has been influenced by Hegel’s historical approach. Thus, according to these two distinct approaches and methods, theological ideas too have distinctions. Karl Barth’s theology based on the teachings of their faith that explores and creates new meanings for the faith, the support can be relied upon. While Pannenberg leaves focus on Theology, History and Jesus Christ. His historical Jesus is the starting point of his christology and is regarded as the same account, the result is very different. This study intends to examine more closely the great Protestant theologian explores these ideas and explaining their ideas about it to reflect new interpretations.
