The study of the story of Jesus based on Quran and the Gospels shows that these two have a completely different view about the end of the story of Jesus . Emphasizing on certainty of the story of Jesus, Christians put the Quran under the question due to denial of Crucifixion and ascend of jesus. The story of Crucifixion , ascend and rise of Jesus which is narrated in canonical gospels, is not of enough certainty for a historical event. investigations of sources of this story leads us to the conclusion that there is no other valid resource than Gospels. The sources of canonical Gospels other than Mark is silent about this issue and focuses on the words and teachings of Jesus. The study of Mark, the only source of story of Jesus, illustrates some points: first, the writer of this gospel was not immediate disciple of Jesus. Second, the sources used is not Hebrew but Greek ones. Finally, the sudden ending of mark is another reason to put the validity of them under question. In the other hand, study of religious and cultural environment and mythological background of of Jesus time shows undeniable similarities in components of myths and ancient religions with stages of Jesus’ life in gospels indicates the possibility of the story of Jesus being influenced by mythology. This can be asserted by the study of personality and acting of Paul, the most influential figure in the process of shaping and canonizing the gospel, who was looking for a kind of interaction between Christians and Jews by a positive look on Greek philosophy.here the role of theology in Qumran society and the ancient eastern religions should be noted.
