Intercession (Shafa’ah) basically is accepted in all the Islamic sects but when it comes to believers deserved of Intercession, there are main differences among them. Inasmuch as Intercession is a topic in all Islamic sects, it is impossible to review and study all of them, so in this paper, it is attempted to study Intercession (Shafa’ah) in two Shiite sects: Imamiyyah and Zaidiyyah. Intercession is one of the basics that are done with the permission of God and it is accepted in Imamiyyah and Zaidiyyah. but the understanding and interpretation of Intercession in two Shiite sects: Imamiyyah and Zaidiyyah differ in many aspects. the method of this thesis for collecting information is library one. this thesis tries to conclude that Intercession should be accomplished with the permission of God but there are serious disagreement in case of those being eligible for Intercession. the Imamiyyah school believes that Intercession of “Ahl e Bait” includes sinners While the Zaidiyyah believes that those committing deadly sin and dying without repentance, do not deserve Intercession of the prophet Mohammad by no means.
