Family policy

Population decline, aging, structural and functional changes in the family, gender, intersexual relationships, and attitudinal changes in the field of employment (paid and unpaid work) are among the issues that can place the family among the most important policy topics.
Family policy includes both implicit and explicit programs and can be evidence-based and research-based on empirical data and needs assessment.
Policy making of the family does not necessarily mean the new processing of this institution in policies, laws, and structures, but also includes the reconstruction and reorganization of existing structures and programs, sometimes requiring the creation and design of new structures based on the needs and structural and functional changes of the family
