As a challenge, excommunication and contempt threaten Islamic society. So Islam, the Quran, and wisdom have always invited Muslims to unity and staying away from excommunication. All the Muslims believe in Monotheism. But by emerging different approaches and viewpoints among Muslims, different interpretations have given for this principle. This paper, by a library base method and associated debate, analyses and compares the meanings of excommunication and blasphemy according to Wahhabism and Deobandyah so it can answer following questions: what are Wahhabism and Deobandyah’s viewpoints on excommunication? What are their points of similarities and differences? What are the cultural, political and societal effects of these viewpoints? What are their criticisms? This study shows that Wahhbism, regarding excommunication, based on their interpretations of Monotheism, considers all Muslims apostates; but Deobandyah, by narrowing the meaning of worship and negating the relations of faith and action, they are very cautious, they just excommunicate those who ignore one of the essential precepts of  the religion. Their points of similarities are: Monotheism in worship, Sha’aer (the signs of Allah, Hajj), tendency towards Ahle Hadith, and political thoughts; and their points of differences are belief in reason and tradition, imitation and Ijtihad (lit. effort, physical or mental, expended in a particular activity). The important societal, political effects of Wahhabism on Islamic world can be anti union, help to the growing of authoritianism, and enemie’s sarcasm toward Islam and Muslims; on the other hand, Deobandyah could arise union, better realionships between different Islamic sects, and the revival of the global caliphate. Finally, we analyse the criticisms of Wahhabism such as the opposition between slogan and action, conceptualizing Monotheism, negationg imitation, anti unity, causing insecurity and violence; and also we analyse the criticism of Deobandyah such as, conceptualizing Monotheism, tolerance for religion’s followers, and reviving the Islamic Caliphate.
