Because the Shi’a School and its origins have a special place in global studies nowadays, it is necessary to take into account new approaches to them. Western scholar-Jonah Winters – in the article “The Origins of Shi’ism:A Consensus of Western Scholarship”, has studied origin of Shi’a in three key events including  Ghadir Khumm, Hadith of Dawat and Qalam and Saqifah Bani Sa’idah, in three perspectives of the Shiites, Sunnis and orientalists with Western historiography. In this thesis, his article was first fully translated and then criticized and evaluated in such a way that the advantages paper and benefits of its methodology are highlighted and then review of text is carried out and, finally, a review of the method is addressed.
