Ahl_al_Bayt (peace be upon them) who were the households of Prophet (peace be upon himself and his descendants) had many debates and reasoning throughout their scientific and guiding life. Since their way of speech and their arguments are regarded as an example for their followers and people who are fond of them, dealing with this topic can open up new horizons for scholars. In the present thesis, their principles and methods of responding to faith questions and doubts have been extracted and collected and have been presented and structured here as an introduction section and 3 chapters. In the first chapter, we have dealt with general topics and in the chapters 2 and 3 we have presented principles and methods respectively. Principles means the general and fixed rules which apply in the majority of responses and by methods we mean the functional approaches, tactics and systems. In the present thesis, we came to the conclusion that Islam has emphasized on questioning and methodology of responding to questions and we can provide apt and proper response to contemporary questions and doubts according to the principles which have been extracted from the life of Ahl_al_Bayt. Shia’s Imams made use of rational principles and methods in responding to questions and doubts. In some instances, they expanded some of the principles and methods or did restricted them.
