The subject of the present dissertation is “The Comparative Review of the Theological Thoughts of QaziAbdoljabbar and of QaziAzadoddinEiji in Case of Monotheism and Divine’s Attributions” which has been compiled in four chapters. In chapter one, regarding the importance of these two characters and that they belong to two important theological sects of Mu’tazila and Ash’arites, in addition to defining the science of theology, we will deal with the full biographies of QaziAbdoljabbarand QaziEiji. Chapter two deals with the subject of monotheism and meanings and orders thereto. Both characters believe that the supreme god has no other part and that he is not compound and also both of them believe in negation of analogizing and incarnating the god. The two characters believe that the divine’s epistemology is highly essential; however, QaziAbdoljabbar believes in this obligation as rational and QaziEijiconsiders it as canonical. In case of faith, QaziAbdoljabbar has considered the deeds which include worship, obligations and recommended actions as a part of faith and believes that it can be perfected or declined; however, QaziEijidoes not include the deeds in faith and claims that the faith is in fact acknowledging what the holy prophet has brought for the people and as most ofAsh’arites, he does not consider it as depleting or promoting. In chapter three, after bringing the lexical and terminological meanings of the name, attribution and the nature, and mentioning the divisions of attributions in the views of QaziAbdoljabbarand QaziEiji, it is talked about the relation between the nature and the attributions and in this case, QaziAbdoljabbarbelieves in the AbualiJobaei’s (303AH) theory of “deputation (Niyabah) of nature from the attribution”. QaziEijihas expressed the theory of excess of attributions over the nature and at the same time he has rejected the argumentations of the Ash’arites’ ancestors, and he has brought no argumentation over it.QaziAbdoljabbar, unlike QaziEiji, believes in lack of detention of the divine’s names. Chapter four deals with the subject of the statement (Khabariya) attributions and observing the god, and QaziAbdoljabbarhas explicated the meanings of statement attributions and believes that it is prohibited to interpret the exoteric meanings of these verses and traditions rather than their real meanings. However, QaziEijinot believing in interpretative meanings, believes in conditionality and rejects the issues of assimilation, incarnation and the exoteric meanings as the attributions. In case of observing the god in hereafter, QaziAbdoljabbar rejects it due to the issues of pious retreat (Mujavira) and ephemeral dispositions (Hal); while QaziEijibelieves that the observation in hereafter is a true issue and the faithful people will observe the supreme god with their head eyes.
