One of the most important issues in the history of theological thought is the question of divine speech which has so far been widely sought by Islamic scholars to find the correct answer to the question of the truth of theology on the basis of its own principles, among which the views of Abolhassan Ashari and Tabatabai are important. The present study examines the divine speech based on the foundations of these two thinkers and the effect of their interpretation on intellectual readings of revelation. Abu’l-Hasan Ash’ari’s approach is based on rational arguments along with transcendental data, especially Qur’anic reasoning. He prioritizes rational arguments, considers the truth of the word from the self, and believes that it is an inherent word of God and an ancient attribute that the word is written. The prophets have interpreted it, this separation of the true and theological word has undergone various interpretations and readings over the years, as a result of which some modern-day intellectuals have based their revelation on the modern rationality. Allameh Tabataba’i based on the wisdom and authentic verses and traditions of Divine Word means everything that is the discoverer of divine purposes. In this case, Divine Word has meaning and the scene of creation which appeared with the existential word “Kon” is the Word of God. It also includes revelation to the prophets. To him, the quality of the revealed word to the prophets is unknown to us because of its covert and mysterious nature, and only God and His prophets, for whom revelation is a personal matter, are aware of its quality, but through its effects and properties, It becomes clear to us that the revealed word is a prophecy of the truth of the word, and that the conventional word among us is the word of credit. Some of his students who are religious scholars in the field have used this approach to express their views.
