Exaggeration in the literal sense means too much in something, and in the term, it means description and excess in something. Hence, the meaning of the word exaggeration is not much different. Exaggeration is one of the prominent styles in Arabic literature, which is used to show great meaning in order to emphasize and accept the audience, and the Holy Qur’an has used this style a lot to be able to change its audience. Now either to intimidate them or to persuade them.

Also, exaggeration is one of the terms used by commentators in understanding Quranic verses. The term exaggeration has been used in two ways: First: with the lack of specification to exaggeration, which in this case is also specified with words such as plurality, bloating, bowing, etc. And secondly, it is specified to exaggerate, in which case it is also referred to in words with meanings close to exaggeration. Now, in view of this, Zamakhshari’s interpretation has used exaggeration more broadly than what Tabarsi has, although Zamakhshari was the first to use this method.

But Tabarsi’s interpretation is more correct because it is empty of rationalism.
