Bribery in Iraq has become a general problem that affects all aspects and institutions of the political system، and thus leads to negative effects on the individual in all aspects of his life.
And whoever thinks that there is only one way to combat bribery is wrong، because corruption and the spoilers in Iraq have their ways، means، and experiences that are greater and more accurate than to reach the level of the most specialized institutions.
The fight against bribery is not the only goal of specialized bodies such as the Integrity Commission، the Bureau of Financial Supervision، and the offices of general inspectors. Rather، it is a public policy that all formal and informal institutions should participate in.
The Integrity Commission is one of the bodies that should be more effective in combating corruption because it is considered one of the main pillars of fighting corruption because it has the powers and mechanisms that give it the greatest importance in combating bribery.
The work of the Integrity Commission is a recent experiment in Iraq in order to prevent corruption and affirm fair and transparent governance، and it now takes it upon itself to solve many corruption files and confront the spoilers and work to prevent corruption regardless of the level of corruption in society and the political system and the forms of corruption crimes contained in the law of the Commission Integrity is a crime of bribery. Therefore، we chose to research the Authority’s jurisdiction over this crime، adopting a comparative approach with Algerian law.
