The International Organization of the Red Cross is an impartial, neutral, independent and exclusive organization whose humanitarian mission is to protect the life and dignity of victims during armed conflict and other situations of violence and to provide them with assistance. The ICRC also seeks to prevent suffering through the dissemination and promotion of humanitarian law and universal humanitarian principles. The International Organization of the Red Cross was founded in 1863, and was the origin of the Geneva Conventions and the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. It directs and coordinates the international activities of the Movement in armed conflicts and other situations of violence. The past years have witnessed an increasing interest by the International Organization of the Red Cross to the problems faced by states and their protection of rights and freedoms in international and non-international armed conflicts, and this is evidenced by the activities carried out by the International Committee of the Red Cross in the field of human rights protection and public freedoms based on the role of The International Committee of the Red Cross, to carry out the tasks entrusted to them, the Geneva Humanitarian Conventions work in favor of the protection of rights and freedoms, especially in times of conflict or wars and civil unrest, and the commitment of the International Organization as a neutral humanitarian body and committed to its mission, and did not wait for the release of legal provisions in order to protect rights and freedoms in conflicts Before the start of operations aimed at protection in all conflicts, the initiatives of the International Organization of the Red Cross have established legal protection for the persecuted and all those whose rights are deprived.
