The technological revolution, especially the communications revolution, is the most important development in the world today. The communications revolution is the main driver of modern developments at the present time, but it is not the only driver in these developments; As the great development in computer technology has contributed greatly to the acceleration of the rates of progress in the field of communications and information, and the results of the development on both sides were the emergence of new tools, inventions and services in various fields, and the technological revolution resulted in the emergence of a new type of transactions, called transactions Informatics, it differs from the traditional transactions that we know in terms of the environment in which these transactions take place. This led to the exacerbation and emergence of cybercrime, and from this arose our research problem, which is “What is the government’s role in combating cybercrime?”
To answer this question, we will do our modest research to identify the government’s role in combating cybercrime; As one of the commitments of approved governments is to provide security for their citizens, and the first methods of combating cybercrime over the Internet are embodied in inspection, inspection and expertise, which goes back to the privacy of cybercrime over the Internet. We will follow the descriptive analytical approach following the structure in which we divided the research into three chapters. Then we followed our research with a conclusion that includes the most important results and recommendations. Where we concluded that the government has an effective role in combating cybercrime, and this role is entrusted to governments as a whole, and the Islamic Sharia entrusted the government to protect Internet users from texts extracted from the Qur’an and the Sunnah, where the Holy Qur’an affirmed and what was extracted from the Sunnah of his Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of God be upon him and his family) and the sayings of His pure family (may God be pleased with them) all of these laws emphasized the sanctity and danger of eavesdropping and spying on society, just as they emphasized the sanctity of stealing the efforts of others.
