This study aims to reveal and clarify the relationship between the use of social networking sites and family relationships, and to know the extent to which the community of Souq Al-Shuyoukh uses social networking sites and to diagnose patterns and motives behind this use, as well as the impact caused by the main variable (social networking sites) on the sub or dependent variable (relationships). Family)
The study started with the following questions:
What is the relationship between the use of social networking sites and family relationships?
Several sub-questions emerged from the main question, as follows:
_ what are the habits and patterns when using the research sample for social networking sites?
_ what is the relationship between the increased use of social networking sites and its impact on family relationships?
_ what are the motives for using the research sample for social networking sites?
To answer the questions, the researcher formulated the following hypotheses:
_There are different habits and patterns when using the research sample for social networking sites according to different users and also according to the variables of gender and age.
The motives for using social networking sites are among family members, either because of communicating with friends or searching for information and files. The motives differ from one user to another.
_The increase in the number of hours of use of the research sample for social networking sites increases the impact on the pattern of family relationships
Where the researcher took the descriptive approach based on the survey method, using the questionnaire tool to collect information and data, and it was applied to a random sample of the total research community consisting of (384) individuals. The study was subjected to a set of statistical methods, and the study reached the following results
