The rights of  child are considered an integral part of human rights, because children are considered the basic pillar of society that leads to life. Countries and international organizations have worked to determine the rights of the child and to ensure their protection from abuse and deprivation, as well as to oblige the member countries  of the conventions to apply these rules in their bylaws . This study is interested by children’s rights and the rights stipulated in internationalism legislation and Iraqi bylaws , however,  the study involves revealing these rights from different  sources, which varied between international classifications approved by international covenants, and a statement of children’s rights mentioned in Iraqi legislation to ensure the child’s right from exploitation and inhuman treatment. ,Accordingly, this thesis entitled (Child Rights in Iraqi Law and International Conventions ) consisted of an introduction, conclusion, and four chapters.

The problem of the study is in how to activate the international constitutional and legal texts that guarantee the realistic and practical rights of children to put an end to the deterioration that some societies have reached by diminishing the rights of the child and depriving him of them, especially in Iraqi society, the two most important rights of children are education and health, as well as other rights, meanwhile , to work on Finding best solutions to address the deficiencies and weaknesses in the failure to implement the legislative texts that guarantee the rights of the child in trying to establish good protection for the child in ensuring his rights on all sides. The researcher has employed in his writing by study the descriptive approach and the comparative analytical approach, and extrapolating the opinions of the relevant legal books. The results of the study, including that Iraqi legislation still falls. short of achieving what they aspire to

 legislative integration that meets all the requirements of a comfortable life for children in Iraq, in light of the circumstances in which he suffers from killing, displacement, lack of family care and loss of security and stability. The researcher recommends the Iraqi legislature to expedite the issuance of laws pertaining to the child, including “issuing a draft law to protect the rights of the Iraqi child.” This is in order to unify the provisions relating to children and are dispersed in Iraqi legislation, as well as activating the role of international bodies to protect children’s rights
