Investigating the role of the Coronavirus epidemic in the Becoming a media coverage of Muharram gatherings

The spread of diseases in different centuries has disrupted human life and today, with the shadow of the Corona virus on the world, the crisis is more widespread than in the past. Of course, in the age of communication, the media has developed with great progress and diversity and can be very effective in dealing with crises.

Due to the growing concerns of the corona outbreak, the relevant authorities have provided restrictive measures and binding instructions for travel and gatherings, including religious ceremonies. Muharram, the role and position of the media and performanceManagers and their responsibilities in the face of this epidemic have been explored.Therefore, the evaluation of this study was done with a qualitative approach that is descriptive and analytical in terms of nature and prescriptive in terms of applied purpose and in terms of basic method and using purposive sampling and in-depth interviews with 22 experts in the field. Findings: The significant impact of Corona on religious gatherings and the experience of the new style of mourning that was created by using the media was a great help in the mourning event, because with the management of the ceremony, the risk of crisis atmosphere is reduced and its intensity is reduced. As a result, by reducing restrictions, more favorable ceremonies can be heldBe.

Experts praised the performance of the national media in compensating for the decline in mourning, although the impact and coverage of virtual media was more than traditional. On the other hand, the symbols and flags of mourning also played a high role in providing the Ashura atmosphere. Experts have highlighted most of the mourning lifestyle changes and its media coverage during the Corona epidemic, in which the educational function of the media has been effective, and due to the ability of the media, there is more opportunity for education and awareness. Promoting spirituality and conveying the feeling and message of mourning in this new style, although effective, was in the middle, and some experts consider the function of the traditional method to be the best model for conveying the message that the media reflects on the event. And the new style was far from the traditional mourning in providing spiritual life and adapting to the philosophy of mourning. And the greater impact of conventional mourning can not be ignored.The performance of officials in providing cultural infrastructure for mourning and also in new style policy at the intermediate level was evaluated.
