The poet Abdul Mahdi Matar al-Khafaji is from a famous family that is famous for its literary genius, social position and fight against injustice and tyranny, and this social position has made him an outstanding poet and his contributions have been respected by many people. In addition, cultural currents are very evident in his works. Abdul Mahdi Matar achieved Arabic culture through his humility and reformation in the city of Najaf and gave his poetry an Islamic meaning and took it from the Holy Qur’an and made his poetry a special expression of his fascination towards the Ahl al-Bayt of the Holy Prophet, may God bless him and his household and give them peace, and brought the magnificent legacy of the Arabic language into that treasure, and as a result, his poetry contains dynamic themes based on cultural and scientific heritage. This research, after exhausting efforts and investigations in Abdul Mahdi Matar al-Khafaji’s poetry, reached many results, the most important of which may be indicative of his poetic genius in describing, illustrating, motivating and flying in imagination. Also, the results indicate that the poet’s feelings are full of experiences that have enriched his journey to the world of poetry and literature. Also, various literary techniques can be seen such as repetition, puns, implication, tadvir, raddol ajoz of Ali al-Sadr. it means that Matar adhered to the two-stanza system. In addition, he has explanations that have given a special technical structure and musical value to his poetry.
