This study aimed to identify the degree of application, concept and nature of social responsibility for public relations in private schools in Baghdad, as well as to monitor and analyze the areas of social responsibility in private schools from the point of view of the research sample, and to know the extent to which the authorities responsible for private schools sponsor educational activities in the field of social responsibility about The students, and to achieve this, the researcher used the descriptive survey method, with the aim of reviewing and analyzing the concept and nature of social responsibility, and in monitoring the areas of that responsibility in Baghdad private schools. (112) schools out of the total study population (1117) schools with (10%) of the study population, and (250) questionnaire forms were distributed to the target sample. Where a simple random sample was chosen, and applied to the principals of private schools in Baghdad (primary and secondary) and their assistants in those schools, in an attempt by the researcher to reach scientific results that achieve the research goals and aspirations, then discuss the results and come up with proposals that are consistent with what this research effort aspires to. This study aimed to reach the indicators of social responsibility of public relations practitioners in private schools in Baghdad and to know the activities of public relations in them in the economic, social and environmental fields, and to know the means used by public relations in private schools to achieve the goals of social responsibility towards society. The theorizing of this study was according to the theory of social responsibility, which directs the mass media with its multiple functions towards society and is based on the media being independent away from government interference. A general information model for defining goals, opinions, and interaction between the organization and the public. The most prominent results of the study were the interest of private schools in Baghdad in applying social responsibility through the method of public relations through organized programs represented by the Public Relations Department transferring the opinions and complaints of parents to the school administration, strengthening communication between parents and students and carrying out the guiding function by urging the school administration to Paying attention to student services and organizing social responsibility activities and programs for public relations to raise awareness and its reformist role for teachers and students alike, while providing programs and activities to devote students’ scientific ambition and strengthening social relations between teachers and students. And linking what the student studies with some economic, social and environmental aspects outside its walls through extra-curricular activities within the responsibility of public relations sponsored by development programs within the scope of social responsibility.
