This research studied the cultural references of Ibn Hani Al-Andalusi, as the study included a social and literary definition of the poet. And the days, lineages, personalities, and literary references that showed the poet’s influence on the poets who preceded him in the pre-Islamic era, and the poets of the East, and their relationship to his literary production, as well as his knowledge of Arab proverbs, myths and beliefs that formed a large part of the poet’s culture. The cultural references that formed the poet’s cultural reservoir, which provided him with ideas, images, language, and vocabulary, varied within references: religious, historical, literary, and mythological. The poet used his poems, and then the Holy Qur’an embodied the first tributary of the poetic text, intensifying it and confirming it with this divine resonance. Ibn Hani’s poetry overflowed with the praise and lamentation of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), as his poems highlight the extent of the risks he took in the pursuit of this belief.
