The social trend in the interpretation of Al-Manar by Sheikh Muhammad Abdo

The topic of the research is (the social trend in the interpretation of Al-Manar by Sheikh Muhammad Abdo) and the value of the research lies as Sheikh Muhammad Abdo is the founder of this trend, so I liked to discover the data of this trend through his founder in his interpretation (Al-Manar). In general, revealing and employing the historical and social principles, rules and traditions in the Qur’an, and through the social trend of interpretation, the interpreter tries to find harmony in the relationship between religious goals, social goals and human sciences. On the other hand, he presents clear solutions with the aim of bringing the Islamic community to the highest peaks of happiness and prosperity in this world and the hereafter. As for the objectives of the research, they are: paying attention to the Qur’anic verses that are related to the statement of social issues, as well as applying Qur’anic verses to people’s lives, paying attention to their problems and offering ways to solve social problems, as well as paying attention to modern trends in the subject of Islamic jihad and the need to confront enemies and colonizers. Social issues in the interpretation of Al-Manar ranked high through the interpretation of Sheikh Muhammad Abdo, such as: general issues of society, freedom of women, freedom of opinion, and equality between social classes. Professor Muhammad Abdo interpreted the Qur’an not as a break from the heritage and the past and an imitation of the West, but through its balance between the original heritage and the contemporary issues of modernity with what fits with the temporal changes. The multiplicity of fields of renewal according to Imam Muhammad Abduh, as it included the field of education, the religious, the social, the political, and the economic. Thus, Sheikh Muhammad Abduh succeeded in bringing about a great revolution of validity, the foundations for what follows it, and alleviated the intensity of ignorance and contributed to eliminating the state of intellectual decline prevalent in his era, through his enlightening thought at all levels.َ
