The Public’s Dependence on the New University Media at the Cognitive, Behavioral and Emotional Levels, Wasit University as a Model

This research is one of the few studies that dealt with the subject of university media at the level of Iraq، as the researcher’s efforts were focused on studying the problem of the current research، which was to answer the main question of the research the extent to which the audience of Wasit University depends on the new university media .

The researcher used the theory of dependence on the media as a basis for studying the problem، and this study acquires its importance from the importance of the research topic itself.

The research relied on the descriptive survey method as one of the coherent studies to achieve the objectives of the current research and to know how to employ modern technological techniques in university media and to measure the cognitive، behavioral and emotional effects of the new university media on the public.

The research reached several results، the most important of which is the existence of a statistically significant correlation between the public’s dependence on the new university media and the raising of the cognitive، behavioral and emotional level. The results of the proportional stratified random sample of 400 individuals showed that the cognitive effects ranked first، with a percentage of 82.9% . Emotional influences ranked second with a rate of 81.9% ، and behavioral influences ranked third with a rate of 78.88% .
