The effect of Iraqia vaqei in spreading legal awareness between (2016-2021) From the point of view of the media elites

This research is aimed at studying the legal awareness of knowledgeable and educated elites of the media from the beginning of the publication of Ro-nameh al-Waqeeh on 12/8/1922 until now. This newspaper has been published for more than a hundred years, despite the change of regimes, and its content is a collection of laws, treaties, letters of commitment, and ethical issues related to the profession of journalism, and the purpose of its publication is to prevent legal and judicial slips. The issue of this research is the effect of al-Waqeeh al-Iraqi magazine in promoting legal awareness among media elites and the question of the styles and habits of reading this newspaper and its most important works and functions in promoting this awareness. This research has used the theory of cultural planting, which is one of the most important theories related to the impact of the media on the individual and society and the factors affecting it, and has represented the cognitive indicators and signs of this awareness. The statistical sample was selected from Baghdad in terms of location and time, and the statistical community consisted of editorial boards, journalists, reporters, videographers, editors, satellite networks, news managers, and independent news agencies, and these groups were considered in the questionnaire. and their approach and role in media institutions and the approach of public opinion and inciting and gaining the approval of the society towards policies and media institutions have been considered. A virtual questionnaire was distributed among 185 people from the media and 200 people in the Journalists’ Association in Baghdad and their opinion regarding the promotion of legal awareness in the society and their responses regarding the approaches and decorations regarding this phenomenon were obtained. The questionnaire has achieved good results. The correlation percentage is 89%, and the acceptability and stability was achieved through bisecting the statistical population and internal consistency test. This research has reached conclusions and suggestions, relying on Al-Waqeeh al-Iraqi newspaper as the main and important source of information and rules and regulations and the great trust of the media in this media, which is a sign of its continuous and selective follow-up by the media and the press. The conclusions of this research. This trust and pursuit deepened a specific legal culture and encouraged the members of the media to adhere to the rules of media work and the habits and traditions of this profession and familiarized them with their rights and duties and spread the legal culture among them. and the reduction of law breaking by media members is the result of increasing their legal awareness. This research suggests the creation of new columns in this journal and the increase of pages and more formal and content attention to it, and the daily supervision of Kalhor writers and proofreaders and the increase of roundtables and discussions to increase the awareness of rights among the society.
