In his study entitled The Impact of Color on the Formation of the Artistic Image in the Ghazal Poem in the Umayyad Era (A Comparative Study between Omar Ibn Abi Rabia, Jarir and Abdullah Al-Arji), the researcher deals with the aesthetic study of color in Umayyad poetry. Colors transmit a number of aesthetic connotations, especially in the poetry of the Umayyad period. The researcher aimed to know the extent to which the Umayyad poets were affected by color, and to address the connotations of color and its role in the artistic beauty of the poem and its occurrence in the lyrical prefaces and in linguistic contexts and rhetorical methods, considering color as one of the beautiful and attractive phenomena of nature, and one of the elements of forming the literary image in its artistic, religious, psychological, social, symbolic and legendary connotations. The researcher adopted the historical-analytical descriptive approach to study the phenomenon of color among the Umayyad poets Omar Ibn Abi Rabia, Jarir and Abdullah Al-Araji, and the researcher reached a set of conclusions, including: 1- Color is an influential factor in the nervous system and its effect is no less than music, and the Umayyad poets were interested in using colors in their poems as a part of the meaning, so they started their flirtatious introductions with it and in the body of their poems. 2- The Umayyad poets used colors in their lyrical poetry, whether in the introductions to their poems or in the mention of ruins and journeys of misfortune, and they mentioned the sensual beauty of women and depicted their charms. 3- Color was used to symbolize aesthetic manifestations, declaring and hinting in most of the poems, describing the beauty and advantages of women and using it in metaphor and metaphor. The researcher recommended conducting similar studies in other eras and approaching the use of color between different eras and contemporary poets or heritage historians.
