The impact of the use of Facebook significantly on the Iraqi university youth, as they received a large amount of information and messages directed through the communication platforms, as it turned out that the effects that occurred are positive effects that lead the youth to several positive things, so it became necessary for us to feel that the social networking sites directly affected And indirectly on the youth’s ability to use traditional media, and we try to explain and treat all research outputs in terms of the ability to cancel, weaken and enhance traditional media. The problem of this research is the impact of the use of Facebook by Iraqi university youth on the traditional media, and the researcher embodied the problem of his research with a set of questions, the main question came as follows: What is the impact of the use of Facebook by Iraqi university youth on the traditional media? The researcher seeks to achieve the goals, including, identifying the impact of using Facebook on Iraqi university youth, revealing the limits of Iraqi university youth’s interest in the content published on Facebook, and knowing the effects of Facebook on the culture of Iraqi university youth. This research is classified within the descriptive survey research, and the survey method was adopted, and the researcher used to collect his information and data with the observation tool, which is the standard questionnaire form and the scale, and the questionnaire form consisted of (3) axes. Reinforcement side, distributed evenly between positive and negative paragraphs. The research community was represented in the segment of young people residing in the city of Najaf, University of Kufa, Faculty of Arts, and the researcher chose an intentional sample of students, which numbered (464) single, and dragged their selection with a simple intentional sample. In promoting, weakening and canceling the use of traditional media among university youth, it became clear that the percentage of incompatibility is very low in the questionnaire form. The opinions of young people varied about the positive and negative effects that Facebook had on them. This process, including positions of support and endorsement.
