The writing herein deals with the developments and transformations of the Zoroastrianism in the Sassanid era. Belief and Practice are two basic dimensions in each religion according to which the duties of faithful people to that religion are defined. Therefore the researchers in the religions domain have studied the developments of each religion with consideration to these two aspects. The belief and practice of the followers of religions during the history have usually been subject to evolution and change, and it is natural that in Sassanid era, some upheavals have appeared in the religion of Zoroastrianism either in the aspect of belief and faith or in the aspect of action and rituals. In the discussion of belief, three thoughts of Zurvanism, Manichaeism and Mazdak were appeared which resulted in the reaction of scholars and Zoroastrian priests and also made the government to encounter with it. On the following of it and due to the ideological evolutions, different resources report this religion’s practical deviation from the primary rituals and this case is reviewed in three areas of superstitions, burying the dead, and marrying the inmates.
