The question of the relationship between modern science and religion is an important issue in the philosophy of religion. After the emergence of modern science, many philosophers and scientists see it in conflict with religion, particularly Christianity. But over time, other points of view in opposition to the conflict were raised. Alvin Plantinga, one of the most important philosophers of religion opposes the conflict between science and religion, especially in his last work, Where the Conflict Really Lies. His view is summarized as follows: on the one hand, if there is a conflict between science and religion is superficial and in fact, a profound harmony between the two is. on the other hand, if there is a level of harmony between the science and naturalism- as a rival to religion- is in surface and in fact, a profound contradiction is between the two. Plantiga to prove his views deal with some important cases of alleged conflict between science and religion, including biology (evolution), new physics, Social Psychology, historical criticism of the Bible and. He shows essentially no conflict between religion and science theories and if there is any conflict is superficial. he also shows that the true explanation of new science and its foundations lie only by accepting the assumptions and principles that religion affirms them and naturalism denies them and this explains well why the harmony between science and religion is deep and there is a deep conflict between science and naturalism.
