Muslims have long been considered to explain what happened on Ashura, the so-called “Maqtal Negari/Biography of Martyr”. Both Shia and Sunni, because friendship family of the Prophet and the specific characteristics of that great event, have written many books in this area. Maqtal Negari after the formation and growth and creating works such as Maqtal al-Hossein of Movaffaq ibn Ahmad Al-Kharazmi (d. 568 AH) , Mothir Al-Ahzan of Ibn Nama Helli (d. 645 AH) and Lohouf of Seyyed ibn Tavous (d. 664 AH), was declined And what was the criterion narrative, to write the correct report and document, was forgotten. In the Safavid period, and then during the Qajar era, the process of writing Maqtal Suffered some damage. During the reign of Reza Khan, the events of Ashura mourning was threatened in another way. Hence Shia scholars who understand the damaging effects of these trends did not remain silent and stood against these risks. One of the scholars was Sheikh Abbas Qomi (1294-1359 AH), known as the “Mohaddith (narrator) Qomi”, that the blessings of his writing after decades, still shines on the apex of Shiism. He tried to rely on valid religious literature and the results of his efforts was three books, Nafas Al-Mahmoum and Nafasat Al-Masdour in Arabic and Montaha Al-Amal in Persian. Qomi with the three books and in particular Nafas Al-Mahmoum has tried to stand against the influence of superstitions and distortions in Ashura mourning ceremonies and The persistence of this book is an evidence of the claim. This study will examine his views and methods on writing Maqtals.
