Wahhabism which appeared in the first half of the twelfth century by Muhammad Ibn Abd al-Wahhab currently turned to a divisive movement in Islamic world and among Muslisms. According to Wahabis` thoughts, the idea of approximation between Islamic denominations is considered as a tool which Shia uses to intervene, affect and eventually make Sunni people Shia. Wahhabism has a great hostility towards Shia and it does its best to stand against Shia. It is while Shia, impressed by the teachings of Ahl al-Bayt, is in forefront of making approximation between Shia and Ahl al-Sunnah. Amongst the reasons why Wahabis are against the idea of approximation between Islamic denominations is to ignore the common enemy of all Muslims (Zionism and Colonialism), one the basic aims of Wahhabism is in line with the universal Zionism policy to make hostility between Muslims. Current thesis is a survey on the Wahhabis` argumentations for standing against the idea of approximation between denominations. So it analyses the Wahhabis ` beliefs about Tawhid (Unity of God), Shirk (polytheism), Sunnah and innovation in religion, faith and Kufr, formalism and denial of interpretation of the Quran, as well as the main stream thought of Muhammad Ibn Abd al-Wahhab and Ahmed al-Teymiyah. Since the Wahhabism has a wrong perception about some Islamic teachings such as Nazr, Slaughtering an animal, swearing, Ithtiqathah (crying and requesting Ma`sumin), Tawasul and Shafa`ah, their approach has been analyzed and examined.
