Story is one of the ways in which imagination and excitement and the aesthetic pleasure and mental imagery it contains can help creativity. The purpose of this research is to study the impact of story and art education and increasing the creativity of 6-12year-old children with Plato and Aristotle’s case studies. In this study is used experimental method by pre-test, post-test with storytelling sessions. The statistical population of this study is boys’ elementary schools of Qom from which a center was randomly selected And a researcher-made pre-test activity test is first performed from 180 students in this center. And they are examined three components of creativity: fluidity, flexibility, initiative. Then students are participated in storytelling sessions for 20 sessions. After the storytelling sessions, the students are tested in the form of post-test and again three components of creativity are examined. Data are analyzed by SPSS software using descriptive statistics (frequency table and graph) and inferential statistics (Wilcoxon signed rank test). The results are showed that there is a significant difference between the three components of creativity in pre-test and post-test. Since students’ positive ratings are higher than negative ratings, the story has had a significant positive impact on the three components of fluidity, flexibility and initiative and it has led to increase students’ scores. Therefore, it can be concluded that the story has an impact on children’s creativity and their art education.
